Trauma & PTSD Therapy
in Nuneaton.

Specialist, careful support for trauma and PTSD, including EMDR. Trauma therapy in Nuneaton.

Trauma changes how we feel in our own body and how safe the world seems. Flashbacks, hypervigilance, numbness, difficulty trusting: these are not weaknesses, they are the mind's response to something overwhelming.

At Clarity Wellbeing Clinic in Nuneaton, our therapists offer careful, paced trauma work, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy for processing traumatic memories so they lose their grip.

How we help with trauma

Trauma work is never rushed. We move at your pace, building safety and trust first, and only approaching difficult material when you are ready. Several of our practitioners are trained in EMDR alongside other trauma-informed approaches.

Whether your trauma is recent or rooted in the past, recovery is possible, and you do not have to face it alone.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between trauma and PTSD?

Trauma is the impact of an overwhelming event or series of events on your mind and body. PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) is a formal diagnosis applied when trauma symptoms persist and significantly affect daily life. Both respond well to skilled therapy.

What is EMDR and is it available at Clarity?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy for trauma and PTSD. It helps the brain process distressing memories so they no longer carry the same emotional charge. Several of our therapists are EMDR-trained and offer it in person and online.

Will I have to talk about what happened?

Not necessarily, and not until you are ready. Trauma therapy starts with building safety and trust. Some approaches, like EMDR, can process traumatic memories without requiring you to talk through them in detail.
