Kerrie Marsden

Counsellor & Psychotherapist · MBACP

Kerrie understands that taking the first step in contacting a counsellor can feel daunting. You may be struggling with grief, anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, or feeling overwhelmed by experiences from the past or present. You may simply feel that things cannot continue as they are. Whatever brings you to counselling, Kerrie offers a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and supported.

Kerrie is a person-centred counsellor with extensive experience supporting individuals and families through difficult and emotional times. She has worked within healthcare, bereavement and specialist support services for several years, including supporting families facing baby loss, paediatric palliative care, life-limiting conditions and end-of-life care.

She works with adults and teenagers, including clients who are neurodivergent. Kerrie understands that neurodivergent individuals may experience the world, relationships, emotions and communication differently, and she strives to offer a supportive, accepting space that values each person's individual way of thinking and processing experiences. She can adapt her approach to meet individual needs, and may draw on creative therapeutic approaches to help clients who find it difficult to express or connect with their emotions.

Her approach is centred on listening carefully to each person's experience and supporting them at their own pace, with warmth, honesty, acceptance and respect. Kerrie is a registered member of the BACP and works within their ethical framework, offering a professional and confidential service with sessions available online so support can be accessed from wherever feels most comfortable.
