Jon Knowles

Counsellor & Psychotherapist · BACP

Jon is a fully qualified person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist, and a member of the BACP. He has worked in the mental health sector since 2015 and qualified as a counsellor in 2019, and he works within the BACP's ethical framework.

The person-centred approach was one of the key components in Jon overcoming his own addiction, and he draws on that lived experience with real understanding. He knows first-hand how issues such as addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement and low self-esteem can have a debilitating impact on a life, and how it feels to come through the other side.

With Jon you have a confidential, safe and empathetic space where you are truly listened to in a genuine, completely non-judgemental way. He believes you are the expert on yourself, with the inherent ability to resolve and overcome your difficulties without ever being pressured. His focus is consistently on helping you understand yourself better, regain your confidence, and move towards a more fulfilling life.

Jon previously established a counselling service for CGL (Change, Grow, Live) in Nuneaton, supporting adults and young people with addiction and the mental health challenges that so often come with it.
